Thames Gateway Kent - Chamber of Commerce

Move To Stop Business Failures Print E-mail
It was frustration about the high number of business start-up failures that has led Thames Gateway (Kent) Chamber of Commerce to do something radical to help these firms before the rot sets in.

Chamber chief executive Tracey Manley said: "Encouraging entrepreneurship is high on everyone's agenda, but that is not enough. You have to match that commitment with practical support for start-up businesses in their critical first few years. tracey_manley.jpg

"I believe it is time for all the pro-enterprise talk to be matched by action.  The chamber intends to use its knowledge, influence, contacts and network to make a major difference and our business start-up pack is the first deliverable for this strategy."

A business start-up pack has been designed in response to feedback from fledgling companies to solve initial challenges faced. It also offers an unequalled bundle of products and services developed by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC0 of which Thames Gateway (Kent) Chamber is an accredited member, in conjunction with a number of commercial partners.

The Pack includes three years free business banking from the RBS Group (Royal Bank of Scotland), as well as instant tender alerts, exclusive telecommunications and mobility offers, free software trials, unbeatable discounts on products, half price chamber membership and free legal advice just to name a few of the benefits.

Following the launch of the Business Start-Up Pack, the chamber will add to its services in the coming months.  Future offers will include an online business networking and advice portal as well as a nationwide programme of chamber business growth clubs.

For more information about the new pack visit the website www.thebusiness-startup.co.uk or call the chamber on 01634 311411
