The school is one out of 100 nationally raising funds for ‘One Water' this year.  The project is to sell 240 bottles of water in a creative way to raise money to build a well in an African village.  A well costs £7000 to build, but we are not looking to raise all of this.  
 
The plan is to raise at least £1000 by getting employers to sponsor a student for a fiver (£5) to fetch a bucket of water and carry it on their heads to simulate the experience of young people who have to do this daily to get drinking water in African villages and walk 2.5km within the school premises.
 
The Chamber's ‘One Club' network in Medway and Gravesend is supporting this event and is working in collaboration with St Georges School, Gravesend .
 
The event will be held on Wednesday 17 December at Northfleet School for Girls and St Georges simultaneously.  There will be 220 students carrying buckets of water on their heads to raise money for the project.
